We had a very successful day at the Hurstbridge Wattle Festival on Sunday, 27th August, meeting and speaking with really interesting and interested people who shared some local stories and recollections.
A highlight of our day was making some good connections that will help our society to thrive into the future. And, of course, we love the Allwood House gardens too.
The photo shows us finishing our set up and the great location for our photos telling the story of the railway extension to Hurstbridge in 1912. They were in an ideal position to catch visitors coming off the steam train, and had a huge interest all day – thank you Stephanie for giving us such a great site.
